Neighborhoods in this pass

Long Beach is where the studio lives, so a wall here is the straightforward version of the process. The drive is short, the light is known, and the marine layer is part of the schedule. A wall in Alamitos Beach deals with salt. A wall on Retro Row deals with foot traffic and other people’s paint. A wall in Bixby Knolls is usually quieter and more residential. Those are different jobs, and the request should say which one you have.

The pictures are the same family as the hand-cut prints on wood: bats, gargoyles, roses, night flowers. Horror imagery, treated as romance rather than as a jump scare. If the building needs something more literal — a name, a tool of the trade, a flower the owner actually grows — say so in the request. The drawing still comes from this hand.

What to have ready: a photo in daylight, a rough width and height, and a sentence about who owns the wall. Do not send a gate code in the first note. If a lift is required, say that too. Lifts, scaffolding, and second-story walls are part of the quote.

This is not a city program and it is not a contest. It is one studio painting walls it can reach, for people who are allowed to say yes. Los Angeles County and Orange County are the same process with more road time. Those pages are separate because the walls are not the same.

Questions about Long Beach

How do Long Beach mural quotes work?

Send photos, size, and location. You get a quote before any paint goes up. You need a wall you own or written permission from the owner. Lifts, scaffolding, and multi-story access are part of the quote.

Which Long Beach walls are a fit?

Shop sides, alley walls, courtyard walls, and house walls the owner can actually approve. A wall that faces a public sidewalk still needs the property's permission. The studio does not paint over someone else's work.

Do I need a city permit?

The studio does not give permit advice. If Long Beach, a landlord, or a business district requires one, the property owner checks. The request form asks for permission, not for a permit number.

How long from a request to paint?

Long Beach is home base, so it moves faster than a wall in the Valley or in south Orange County. There is no promised number of days. The reply to your request should name a real window.

Can I ask for something that is not a bat?

Yes. Bats, gargoyles, and alley flowers are the usual figures. A name, a shop, or a different animal is a conversation. The mural is still drawn by this studio, not assembled from a clip-art sheet.
